A Complete Guide on How to Extend Your Laptop's Battery Life

For many of us our laptop is an indispensable part of our lives and is carried to work and back every day. However, nearly everyone knows the frustration of needing to do three or four hours' worth of work and only having an hour's worth of battery life left without a charger in sight! There are some ways to prolong the life of a laptop's battery, especially if your laptop is one of the new sleek and simple design, yet exceptionally powerful modern laptops, such as the new range of Samsung laptops.

Best Tips to Increase your Laptop Battery Life:

Reduce Screen Brightness:

From a purely physical point of view the biggest power draw on a laptop is the screen display. Reduce the brightness of the screen to the lowest level that you can comfortably work at. Do not sacrifice your eyes for the sake of an extra half-an-hour of battery life, but do reduce the screen brightness as much as you feel able to.

Reduce Sound and use Headphones:

When watching videos or listening to music on your laptop reduce the sound as much as possible, even if you are using headphones. Not only does this conserve your battery, it can protect your hearing too!

Turn Off Wifi and Bluetooth:

Software can play a part in draining battery levels, and the worst offender is Wi-Fi. Modern laptops are designed to hunt around for Wi-Fi signals and can use an inordinate amount of battery power to do so. If you are travelling from home to work or vice versa and do not need to be connected to the Internet, then disable the Wi-Fi acquisition feature for the journey. This will prevent your laptop from hunting for access points that you have no intention of using anyway!

Remove USB and CD's when not in use:

If you are working during your commute to and from the office, try not to keep USB devices connected for long. Flash drives, optical CD drives and even USB mice can all drain power from a laptop, so plug them in, transfer information or do the tasks you need to, and then remove them as soon as you are finished. (It is not advised to try and use optical disc drives while travelling anyway, a sudden bump or jolt can damage the mechanism.)

Close Unwanted Applications which are not in Use:

If you open multiple windows in your browser or if you are using multiple softwares at a time then more power will be consumed from the battery.Close unwanted programs in use ,this will increase the battery life span.

Unplug the Charging when Battery is full:

Charge your battery until its full and once its full unplug the charging and use it until upto 80% then again recharge it.

Reduce the number of Startup Programs:

Reducing the number of startup programs not only increases your batter life but also increases the speed of your computer.

Go to run then type msconfig and there you can manage the start up programs.

Replace your Old Battery with a new one:

Finally, if your battery is over two years old, it may simply be getting old. Speak to the manufacturer about purchasing replacement batteries and ask if they offer long-lasting replacement batteries that hold a longer, stronger charge than the original one. Laptops are there for our convenience and to be used, but with a little care and attention your battery can last much longer, giving you a great user experience!

This is my favorite method to get backlinks because when you do guest blogging, you not only just get backlinks but you make a relation with fellow bloggers and you also get exposed to a new and larger audience. It is a good practice if you blog on a similar niche blog as yours. You can easily get from 1 to 3 backlinks to your blog, in your author bio or in the content itself.

Note: While bookmarking your own page, do not go overboard, as your link building process should be natural. How I Manage to Maintain my Blogs Rankings/Traffic even after many Google Updates?

Google keeps on updating their algorithm several times every month.Most of the time it is Panda and rarely it is penguin and might be the latest HummingBird Algorithm.Every blog on the Internet will be effected with these updates if not all updates it will get effected with at least one of them.

Very rarely you have a positive impact and most of the time you notice a negative impact if you are a regular blogger.These updates will either favour big news websites or favour new and fresh blogs.So if you are blogging since few months or years then mostly these updates are likely to have a negative impact on your site.

In spite of the several updates still All Tech Buzz and my other blogs rankings are growing day by day.That doesn't mean that my website is not penalised in the recent updates.There are several times when All Tech Buzz is badly penalised.There are days when traffic fell from 6000 to 200.Despite all these updates I am still able to manage to recover my traffic and boost my rankings day by day.So how is this possible?

Why All Tech Buzz traffic and Rankings are unaffected in spite of several Google Updates?

I Never depend on Google :

I only bother about the things which are under my control.Google rankings and their algorithms are completely out of my control.They can come up with some unknown algorithm and swipe out all my traffic over night.So I never depend on Google as traffic source.

Many people completely depend on google as a source of traffic.They enjoy google traffic for few months and once it vanishes they go into depression.They ignore the power of social media which they will regret after getting penalized.Its time to come out of this old outdated strategy.

Now you might be wondering what is my traffic source?

My major source of traffic is Social media.I have a vast social media which has millions of followers.The primary social media is Youtube and Facebook , followed by Google Plus ,Twitter ,Reddit and Stumbleupon.

I manage over 10+ Facebook fanpages which have over millions of followers and I have two good youtube channels which have a decent number of loyal followers.Though I am not very active over twitter I have good number of followers over there as well.

I also drive good traffic from Reddit and Stumbleupon which I will be sharing in the later articles on how to drive massive traffic from these networks.

For example I created a good quality youtube video which got over 300,000+ views and I left links on the video back to the main article.I got over 70-80% of the visitors back to the main article on my blog to download the software program.

Change your Strategy with the changing Trends:

When I say I don't depend on Google that doesn't mean that I completely avoid it.Google undoubtedly serves a majority of our traffic share.But we must have alternatives ready with us to face any kind of situation that is going to come in upcoming days as well.

The old seo strategy which says to have more links is no more working for now.Here on All Tech Buzz I don't do much link building.Link building can boost your rankings for a while but with time your rankings will drop and one day you will be penalized when you are caught by google.

So whenever there is a new google algorithm update I study the trends of rankings of various keywords in Google and check which sites are ranking high and why?Then I implement the same strategy on all my blog.

For example there was a period when web 2 properties ranked very high in search engines especially Slideshare ,Storify and Good.is communities.So at that time I used these sites to drive traffic to my blog.However this strategy didn't last long.

I Produce High Quality Content for your Readers:

Whenever I write something I don't do much keyword research and all that stuff.I just consider whether it will be useful for my readers or not?
This way I have got a lot of loyal readers for my site.They visit back to my blog to check the latest articles.

Create a Mailing List:

Though I don't have a big mailing list I send mails to the subscribers who subscribed to my blog.So this way I drive a significant amount of traffic to the latest published articles.

John Chow Blog was penalized once due to massive link building .Then his rankings completely dropped in search engines.He also survived for a very long time with the mailing list he has collected from his visitors.

I don't build any Backlinks:

If you build backlinks then you might notice a boosting in rankings for few days which is not permanent and long lasting.Your site can be penalized anytime by google and you will loose all your rankings.The best thing is to build a good social media profile.These days google is giving more priority to social media than links.

I Update my content and delete the low quality ,expired articles on Regular Basis:

Most of the time here I write ever green articles but sometimes I tend to write news and latest updates which doesn't last long.So once in a month I do a clean up of the blog by deleting unwanted articles.This will keep my blog safe from Panda.

Hack any Blogspot Blog -Blogger Vulnerability :Prank your Friends

Recently one of my friends sent me the message saying that my blog was hacked and he gave me this url .
To my surprise it almost looked as if my blog is hacked and defaced but after checking the blog status and visiting back to the homepage I confirmed that the Blog is not hacked but its a vulnerability which is present in almost all the blogspot or blogger hosted blogs.Then I thought to prank my friends who have blogs on blogger and for a moment they underwent a shock thinking if their blog is actually hacked.This way you can also prank your blogger friends who have blogs hosted on Blogger platform.

Steps to Get Started with the Prank:

Go to this link(http://www.alltechbuzz.net/feeds/posts/).
The replace alltechbuzz.net with your friends friends blog or website link.
Now after posts/ you can type whatever you want and hit enter.
This will show up a message saying that "Invalid content type: Text you type".Below is the screenshot of the same.

You can type whatever you want after /posts.
To make it more convincing use the words like Hacked by Anonymous ,Hacked by Palestine Hackers , Defaced by Pakisthani Hackers etc.

How I Make Money from my Blog All Tech Buzz

Many people keep on asking me this question what is the source of my income and how I make money from my blog? For all those who are looking for an answer here is a detailed article on the methods I implement on my blog to make money.Though I have 10+ other blogs ,in this article I am going to restrict myself to All Tech Buzz only.I may release a couple of income reports in the upcoming months where I will be revealing how much I make money online and the primary sources of income.

How All Tech Buzz makes money?

1.Direct Banner Advertising:

I daily get popped up with a minimum of 5 mails requesting for banner advertising on my blog.Of which not all of the deals goes well but I tend to make at least 1 deal per day with direct banner advertising.

Currently if you check my blog almost all the ad spots are taken up by direct banner advertisers which is one of the primary sources of income of All Tech Buzz.

I roughly make anywhere between $400 - $800 via banner advertisements on my blog per month.

2.Sponsored(Paid) Reviews:

The past few months I have written some nice number of sponsored reviews for my advertisers.Though I get hundreds of sponsored reviews requests per month, I pick up some reasonably good services that can be useful for my readers.I always check the quality of the services or product offered by those websites and I only accept if the products or services are extremely good and which can be useful for my readers.

I also get some sponsored reviews request from sponsoredreviews.com as well but I reject most of the sponsored review from this service as 50% of the commission is taken up by them.

On an average I make around $500 to $800 by posting Sponsored Reviews.

3.Google Adsense:

Adsense is never a primary source of income on All Tech Buzz and never will be unless and until I become a premium adsense publisher.Adsense income keeps on fluctuating month by month.If I get good number of direct advertisers I tend to remove Adsense ads to the best possible extent.If you see the current adsense ads I have placed only 1 or 2 ad units.

I always keep on trying various ad placements with adsense ads on my blog.Adsense income is very low from All Tech Buzz compared to my other niche blogs.The reason behind me not using adsense much on this blog is simple ,I don't want to depend on Adsense at all.I may completely remove adsense one day.

On an average I make around $150 - $300 per month via adsense on All Tech Buzz.

4.Web Blog Ads:

Web Blog ads is similar to Buy Sell Ads but we didn't get an approval from Buysell ads so we are using Web Blog Ads as an alternative to Buy Sell ads which is doing great on my blog.Its not only helping us to fetch a extra revenue by selling banner ads but also helping us to get a lot of direct banner advertisers.

On an average we make around $300 to $600 per month via Web Blog Ads.

5.Infolinks:

I use only 1 infolinks ad unit on my blog as an additional source of income.I personally don't like infolinks ads as they are very annoying.It is just used as an alternative to Google Adsense.

6.Media.NET (Yahoo Bing Ads):

Currently I removed these ads for a while.In the past with a surprise Yahoo Ads out performed Google Adsense which didn't last long.Day by day their CPM got lowered and I was forced to remove these ads completely on All Tech Buzz.But I just use one ad unit either on the right side bar or below the post to generate an extra income.

I make anywhere between $50 - $150 per month via Yahoo Bing Ads.

7.Affiliate Marketing:

Recently I started promoting hosting offers on my blog.Currently I am not using affiliate marketing model to the full potential on this blog but still I make few sales of Hostgator and iPage from my blog every month.Which fetch me a decent commission.

I make around $200+ per month via affiliate sales.

8.Clixsense:

Honestly speaking I dont use clixsense at all but the affiliate links which I left in my posts send a lot of referral signups to me.I have over 2000+ referrals on my clixsense account.These referrals help me to make money via clixsense without me doing anything .

I make $50+ per month via Clixsense.

9.Our Services:

I also offer services via my blog.I am expanding the services list day by day.We tend to build a relationship with our clients who contact us for seo/smo services.

On an average we make around $500+ per month from our services.

Making money online is not that easy at the same time not impossible as well.If we are the right track then we can make unlimited money online.But money is just materialistic thing.More than money I have got a lot of fame and name.
