Hi friends in this posts I am introducing a Custom Related Post Widget with Thumbnails for Blogger.Most of the bloggers might be using Third Party Related post widgets like nRelate ,Linkwithin or sometimes Outbrain. But the main disadvantage of Third Party widgets is that they effect the blog loading time.So I thought to design some really cool widget for blogger which can work independently.

Some Awesome Features of this Related Post Widget:

• Can be customized easily.
• Related Posts with Thumbnail and Title.
• The script will automatically take related posts from the labels and shows up any four of the related posts.So the posts shown will be very much relevant to the content.
• Doesn't effect the loading time of the blog.This is the main reason behind me designing this widget.

Steps to Add Related Post Widget to Your Blog: 

• It is very much advised to backup your template first before proceeding, if anything goes wrong then you can revert back to normal easily.
• Then go to Blogger Dashboard ->Template -> EDIT HTML
• Now search for the below query.

 Customization:

• If you are really good at css then you can do a lot of modifications to css and change the widget to the color of your wish.
• I kept the width as standard i.e 590px,you can alter this and change the width to the width of your blog.
• I kept the title as You Might Also Like which can be easily changed in the highlighted area.
• I restricted the number of posts to be displayed to 4 ,in case you wish you can increase it as well.

• A box opens select "yes" and click on next.
• Enter your email address , Mobile number and click on "Register".
• Now you will receive a email with a Pin number.
• Now take your android mobile and Go to market place and search for "Bluestacks", Download and install the application.
• Open the application and enter the pin number that you received.
• That's it now you can Sync any application on your mobile with your PC.

The best Android Emulator that I have overcame so far is Bluestacks.The only disadvantage of this software is that its a little heavy and make your pc slow while you are using this software.Also, a slow internet connection might trouble you while using this software.

There are so many free hosting services which allow you to host your files free of cost into the cloud. But what if Google itself provide you such service. Yes Google is providing free webhosting service using Google drive. You can host a website for free on Google Drive. Google Drive is a free of cost service which allow you to store your files as well as synchronize you files into the cloud. What you can’t do using Google Drive hosting :

Server pages like PHP, JSP are not yet supported. So you can’t do server side scripting as we can do in normal hosting.
Also you can’t do custom domain mapping in Google drive as Google don’t support this service till now. Also you won’t get any option in setting to set subdomain and DNS configuration.
SQL database is also not available. So if you planning to launch a website having user registration and login properties than you need to change your decision or you have to use Google forms and excel spread sheets as your data source.

• Click on start upload and wait for uploading files and folders
• Make folder and all files available to public by right clicking the folder and navigate to share option. This step is important as if you don’t make your files public your files will not be available for preview that means no one other than you can see your files.

• Save the changes and click done button.
• Now open your folder and open your HTML file in Google Drive (You can double click your file and can locate open button on the right down corner of your screen).
• File will be open in new tab where easily you can find a preview button. Click on preview button, your webpage will be open.

• You can share this link among others now. Congratulation you just hosted a website using Google Drive for free.

Some Check List to avoid Errors

• Make sure you don’t forget to uncheck upload option check boxes. Which will ask you to convert your file in Google Drive file format. No need to convert file in Google Drive file format.

• Don’t forget to make your folder and files public by clicking on share button.

• Don’t upload files with same name in a same folder. If you create two files with same name “Hello.html” in same folder, none of them will open or work.

• Only 5 GB of data is allowed by Google as a free web space. So try to use that in optimized way. Also make sure that your web folder doesn’t exceed this limit of 5 GB. Beyond that limit you have to pay to Google for extra space.

Monthly Income Report April 2013 : Now I am a Four Figure Blogger

I already published couple of Income Reports.These income report not only shows how much I make money online but also will teach you how can you do the same.When I can do you can also do better than me.Firstly moving on to my income reports lets see what happened the previous months.

What happened the Last Three Months?

As usual there were few Google updates(Panda and Penguin).Some of the updates were publicly announced and some were not.Google panda is now tightly integrated into the Search Algorithm and there will be no more official announcements regarding the panda updates.The updates which were confirmed officially increased our traffic where as some unknown updates hurt the traffic.

I have conducted lot of experiments and A/B split tests in the last couple of months.Some of them have shown positive results while some failed like the Theme Change.In the past few months I completely changed my strategy of making money online.Now I went ahead and started offering services to clients like SEO,Web Designing ,Social Media Marketing etc.I wont waste your time anymore and move on to the income report.

Google Adsense - $200

The Adsense earning didn't increase at all while compared with the previous income report which is a little disappointing.

Reasons Behind the Low Adsense Revenue:

One of the main reasons behind this is my experiments.

• As always I experimented by changing Ad Placements to check the site performance and CTR.Some experiments helped to increase traffic but I had to compromise with Adsense CTR.
• Using Less Number of Ad units: As I always say in my income reports I am not a huge fan of Adsense.I had bitter experiences with Adsense in the past having banned me twice.So I don't want to solely depend on Adsense and risk my online business . Adsense is just an additional source of income but not the only source of income for me.

Anyways after a lot of experiments I optimised my site to perform well with Google Adsense to earn some extra bucks from Adsense.I will share my experience with Adsense in my upcoming reports.

Media.net Yahoo Bing Ads - $110:

I don't say that Yahoo Bing ads are extremely good but they are a good additional source of income.This earning was generated from only one ad unit which is very much impressive.Undoubtedly they are one of the best alternatives to Google Adsense.I read few negative reviews about this network but to earn well with this network your blog must have high traffic with majority of visitors coming from us.

Infolinks - $40:

Currently using one ad unit on my blog and may completely avoid in future.

Direct Advertisements (Including Sponsored Reviews ) - $200

I reduced accepting too many sponsored posts which are likely to have an negative impact on my blog.Accepting only those offers which can add some value to our readers.

SEO Services - $675

Whoa! Here comes my primary source of income.Many clients contact me regarding SEO help.I always give a free advice whenever possible but I get into a deal with those clients who are willing to work with me in long run.

This was the first network from which I got my first check of $6.So I cannot forget this network.Though the earning potential of this network is too low ,this gave me an confidence in the beginning that I can actually make money online.

Advice to Newbies:Stay away from this network.This is just a time waste.If you are really interested to make some quick money then try clixsense ,taking surveys and some other ptc networks.

Honestly speaking I don't actually use this network .All the income which I make from this network is via my referrals.

Total Income for the Month:

Though I was badly stuck with my exams ,I some how managed to run the online business successfully.The past two months March and April changed my strategy of making money online.

Summing up all sources of Income : $1255.If we convert the same into Indian Currency it comes around  Rs 65,000+ which is pretty much decent for now.But one thing is sure "You can never have sufficient money".

Projects Ahead:

I have some serious projects ahead to increase my online income like

• Affiliate Marketing : I was working on this since two months and I am already a little successful with Affiliate Marketing.This has a huge potential of making some big bucks Online.Hopefully you will be seeing some numbers via Affiliate Marketing in my next income report.
• New Blogs : I already bought hosting and couple of domains few months back but I was not able to focus on other blogs due to Time Constraint.Now I am very serious about my new blogs and you will be seeing them live in the upcoming weeks.
• Expanding my services : As always I want to expand my SEO services.I like dealing with new clients and pick up challenging tasks.

Much More.....Though I covered some of the important projects, there are more and more ideas in my head and wanted to accomplish them one by one.I am not very greedy to make thousands of dollars like the pro internet marketers does but an Income of around $4000-5000+ can give you peace and financial independence.

Conclusion:

To make some big bucks online you have to be consistent and keep on updating your skills.Though the competition is very high only the stronger can win the race.Never depend on single source of income.Always have few alternatives.
